Dining Al Fresco.
As the weather heated up in June, we decided to eat our lunches outdoors.
It was a great way to meet our friends from the other tables.

Morning Activities
Our morning activities involved a lot of building, designing, sharing, turn taking, and friend-making.
Planting our Sun Flowers
Music Day
A day filled with all things musical.
In the parish hall we got to try out lots of untuned percussion instruments.
We danced our socks off in the annex.
We listened to excerpts from Fantasia and drew what we thought the music was saying - we then watched what some cartoonists thought.
We composed some organic music on the chime bars. It sounded really sweet.

St. Patrick's Day Art and Parade
What do you do when there's no St. Patrick's Day Parade in town?
You hold your own one in school!
We sang our Irish song and marched around in the class and then played some great Irish dance tunes as we marched around in the yard.

Christmas P.J. Day and Party
Teddies, pjs and slippers - the ideal attire for a Pantomime Day.
While we were watching the panto, we had freshly toasted bread with melted butter on top.
To finish the day off we sipped warm chocolate drinks. Yummy!

The Big Ship sails.....
Ready for the Wonderful new Senior Infants
We have brand new flooring and gorgeous yellow chairs.
The room is set out in pods of 4 and one of 5.
Everybody has their own pencil and crayon pot.
The toys that we are using are all washable.
The songs are fun.
There are glue sticks and scissors for each boy.
The maths equipment is sorted into groups so it will be only used by the same pod each time.
The windows and doors will be open.
The books have your names written on them and are sorted into pods too.
P.E. will be Tuesday and Thursday.
There'll be lots of singing and distanced movement breaks.
The class has been empty for too long,
It's time for the boys to come back,
It's time for fun, friendship and learning (all in a safe environment, of course)
I'm really looking forward to getting to know my new Senior Infant class, I hear you're a fantastic bunch!
See you all on Monday at 9.15
